An approach for semi-automated data quality assurance within BIM models

چکیده
Abstract Successful Building Information Modelling (BIM) enabled projects that require large volumes of project data to be embedded within BIM models. However, with this wealth data, relevance and accuracy have been identified as important issues affecting the performance project. Currently, Quality Assurance (QA) in industry has focused on geometric including scrutinising physical spatial clashes. practices progress industry, requirements for nongeometric model their quality become more necessary. This study aimed ascertain feasibility using visual programming semi-automating QA process a practical case infrastructure projects. paper outlines generic semi-automated methodology its application construction study. The validity method was tested evaluated practice through (n=2) workshops. implemented an integrated engineering consultancy, employing generate summaries additionally highlight elements based defined set parameters. Based evaluation findings, proposed feasible provided pathway low-cost low-skill architecture, (AEC) industry. paper’s main scientific contribution is conceptual framework achieve automatic assurance.
